About the Show

“A Filha do Pai” tells the story of a woman who, while seeking to fulfill her dream of adopting a child, ends up having to care for her own father due to life’s urgent circumstances. The narrative, filled with moments of sensitivity and humor, comes to life with scenes featuring violin, dance, and song.

This work marks a special moment in the trajectory of the Curta com Teatro project, which has been running since 2013 at Copacabana Fort. For the first time, the project presents a contemporary and original text, the result of a collaborative effort between Hissa de Urkiola, in Rio de Janeiro, and director Dionis Tavares, in São Paulo. The play was developed essentially remotely, demonstrating the power of creativity and art as a bridge between borders.
